Fapmo and EN Moteurs: Industrial Excellence Serving the Navy and Beyond
Since its founding in 1923, Fapmo has established itself as a major player in the manufacturing of industrial pumps and naval equipment. From the initial foundry to the design of complex pumps, the company has evolved and diversified. Today, Fapmo is recognized for its expertise in providing customized solutions for the French and international navy, as well as for other demanding sectors such as nuclear power and the food industry.
At the same time, EN Moteurs, founded in 1946, has developed solid expertise in electrical equipment for the navy. Its history, marked by developments within various industrial structures, gives it a rich and varied experience.
Together, Fapmo and EN Moteurs embody French industrial excellence, combining tradition and innovation to meet the most specific needs of their customers.
FAPMO was founded on Rue Roger Salengro in Outreau, France, by Emile Baheux of the Fonderie et Ateliers des Pompes et Moteurs (FAPMO).
The company initially operated several businesses: a foundry for boat parts, construction of equipment for civil and military vessels, and the manufacture of pumps.
Pump manufacturing: pumps for slurries, particularly for coal mines, the sugar industry, the metallurgical industry, and cement plants. Equipment manufacturing for civil and military navies also continues.
A new activity is launched: sampling probes for sugar beet and cane loading.

Although we primarily supply the French Navy, we also supply more than 20 foreign navies (South Korea, Sweden, Spain, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, Singapore, India, Taiwan, Australia, Canada, Brazil, Malaysia, Chile, etc.).
Thanks to our reputation and the quality of our products, we offer equipment for submarines and surface vessels.
We also supply other industries (civil marine, nuclear, chemical, food, etc.).
The SEN absorbs the Bruneteau establishments, Nantes-based manufacturers of rotating machines since 1906.
The Saunier Duval Enterprises bring to the S.E.N. the Gonfreville l’Orcher establishment which manufactures control and instrumentation equipment as well as Contraster brand industrial electronic alarms.
Electro Navale Company becomes a subsidiary of Entreprises Electriques Saunier Duval. Its scope of activity expands to include industry.
Creation of Electro Navale Moteurs (ENM), a subsidiary of Saunier Duval Electricité (SDEL), which takes over the “Motors” activities of Electro Navale.
ENM is acquired by the Thrige Electric Group, a specialist in direct current motors. It becomes Thrige-ENM and is dedicated to the design and manufacture of special electric motors.
Electro Navale Technologies acquires the activities of Thrige ENM.
The Electro Navale Group is acquired by the ECA Group.
Electro Navale Technologies becomes Electro Navale and absorbs Electro Navale Moteurs.
Electro Navale becomes ECA EN.
EN Moteurs was taken over by the HOLIMER Group in December 2018
